Healthy Habits

This Week's Habit
Worship

Worship is worthship: giving God the worth He alone deserves.

It's important to know what you believe. True worshipers know Who they believe.

Not just a relationship. A right relationship.

01Reflect

What is worth something to you?

Exodus 20 : 3
"You shall have no other gods before Me."

Ask yourself Am I worshipping God, or am I worshipping other things?

What you treasure shows up in three places. Look there first.

Where your worship showsYour time.
Your money.
Your thoughts.

The Challenge Take inventory
02Worship

In spirit and in truth.

John 4 : 23–24
"The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Location does not matter. Jesus' word for worship, proskuneo, means to bow low. Worship is truth declared: about Him, and about yourself.

This is truthHe is Eternal.
He is the Creator.
He is the Redeemer.

God alone is worthy of worship, because He alone is Lord and Savior. "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:10)

Ask yourself What do you need to lay down, to lay down?

The Challenge Lay it down
03Sing

Singing is a life of worship, out loud.

Romans 12 : 1
"Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God: this is your true and proper worship."
The Challenge Five minutes of worship
5:00
Tap to begin

"You are worthy, O Lord." Revelation 4:11
