What To ExpectVictory Church is a place where life-change occurs. Everything we do is centered on helping people take their NEXT STEP in their journey of faith. When you arrive, you will find friendly volunteers to help direct you and answer any questions you may have. You’re invited to come a few minutes early and grab a cup of coffee too. We know you’ll love it here, where you can come as you are. Here at Victory, we’re okay with you not being okay. We’re just not okay with you staying “not okay.” We want to help you take your NEXT STEP.
At Victory you’ll experience passionate worship of the God who created us all. Everything about the worship environment is designed to help you connect with God. Our live band plays music that is upbeat and energetic…and they’re really good! The environment is casual and welcoming. It is a great part of our weekend service experience – but it’s not entertaining – worship music is part of how we prepare to hear the message of the Bible and respond to what God is saying. We dare you to come in with an open heart and mind…. and expect God to do something great in your life!
VCKids is our weekend experience for your children from the nursery through the 4th grade. Every age appropriate environment is designed to help kids experience God first-hand and learn to trust Him. Energetic and caring adult volunteers strive to make VCKids the best hour of your kids’ week!
It is vital that every person, no matter their spiritual background, clearly understands the Word of God as it is presented in the Bible. The teaching is relevant and creative and not boring; applicable and not confusing; challenging and not condemning. So prepare to hear the Word of God in ways you may have never heard it before… you might not ever be the same!
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three
personalities revealed to us as: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three
are co-equal and are one God.
Bible Verses About God:
Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory, and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Bible Verses About Jesus:
Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-4, 14; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; II Corinthians 5:14-15; Matthew 24:30; Revelations 1:7; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Titus 2:13.
About The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit through the believers by the manifestation of His gifts.
Bible Verses About the Holy Spirit:
II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17, 26; John, 15:26; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12, 3:16, 12:7-11, 28; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18, 4:7-16; Galatians 5:22, 23, 25; Luke 24: 49; Acts 2:4; Romans 12:6-8.
Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. He is the
supreme object of God’s creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good,
he is marred by an attitude of disobedience called “sin”. This attitude separates man
from God. We believe that God has a destiny for each believer and that His purpose
for us involves the establishing of His Kingdom in our lives.
Bible Verses About Man:
Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2; John 15:16; Ephesians 2:10.
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self- improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by confession of faith in His life, death and resurrection.
Bible Verses About Salvation:
Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1; Romans 10:9-10.
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
Bible Verses About Eternity:
John 3:16; 1 John 2:25; 1 John 5:11-13; Acts 24:15; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 18:8; Matthew 25:44-46; Daniel 12:2.
About The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to all men. Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote it. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error, relevant to contemporary society, and carries power to impart faith in life.
Bible Verses About God’s Word:
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105, 160; Psalm 19:7- 11; Proverbs 30:5; Hebrews 4:12; Romans 10:17
